Seda Anbarcı

Hi, I’m Seda! A screenwriter, director, and multi-genre storyteller with a background in Chemical and Biological Engineering (yes, really).

I come from a mix of worlds: I went to a science high school, finished music conservatory, studied engineering, and eventually got my MFA in Screenwriting in Los Angeles. That path shaped how I approach storytelling with logic, structure, curiosity, freedom, and heart.

My work includes sci-fi, psychological thriller, dark fantasy, romance, and grounded mental health dramas. I also sometimes write comedy by accident. At the core, I care about emotionally honest stories, especially ones centered on complex women, power shifts, identity, and personal transformation.

I’ve written and directed a romance web series that generated over 250,000 views on YouTube, an audio drama show with over 9,000 downloads, and award-winning short films. I’ve worked with producers, actors, and crews across different countries and cultures, and I bring that global perspective into everything I make. 

I love mythology, history, folklore, and anything that gets under the surface of human behavior. Whether I’m directing a scene or writing a book, I’m always thinking about the deeper patterns behind why we do what we do and what we hide.
